AMIGOS DE LA SEVILLETA CAPITAL CAMPAIGN

Trail-head Signs

Nature Loop

Like many national parks and forests, the Sevilleta National Wildlife Refuge needs informational trail-head signs to provide visitors with a better hiking experience. Four signs are needed: Mesa View Trail, Nature Loop, Wildflower Loop, and the just-completed Ladrones Vista Trail.

Due to federal budget constraints, the Refuge does not have funds for these signs. The Amigos de la Sevilleta is launching a campaign to raise all or part of the required funds. Three of the trails need new signs, each costing approximately $2000 for design, construction, and installation. The fourth trail needs an updated panel at a cost of about $1500.

Please make a donation to fund these signs.

The signs will be created by a design firm familiar with U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service display standards. The signs are approximately 2’ x 3’, made of a high pressure laminate utilizing printing technology that resists fading due to the sun’s rays.  The pedestal is powder-coated aluminum alloy for better corrosion resistance and aesthetic appearance.
