Visit Sevilleta National Wildlife Refuge!

What to Do and When to Do It

Most of Sevilleta has limited access because of its special role as a research facility and because of its management goal of restoring the original character of its plant and animal life.  There are a limited number of programs that provide guided access to the refuge throughout the year.  In addition, there are special events which take place annually.  This calendar gives you the chance to plan visits and paticipate in these events. There are three excellent trails that start at the Visitor Center.

Please call the refuge (505-864-4021) for more information and, in some cases, to make a reservation for scheduled events.  The sooner you call the better your chances of having a place on a tour.
